When hungry Monsters threaten Ald-Amura’s harmony, brave chefs respond to the challenge: they are the Monster Care Squad’s Culinary Division!

Monster Delicious is a game of bold adventure chefs serving tasty meals to Monsters. It can be enjoyed on its own or paired with Monster Care Squad.

In the world of Ald-Amura, Monsters and Humans have lived in harmony with one another for over 1,000 years. Humans provide food and shelter for Monsters, while Monsters lend humanity their magic and might. It is a world of abundance, deliciousness, and hope.

The cities and vales of Ald-Amura are peaceful and prosperous. They even put a train on the moon! But peace doesn’t come without hard work, and no world is perfect; for with food comes the capacity for hunger. Some of these hungers are simple to satisfy, while others mask deeper wounds—lack of understanding, nostalgia, or acceptance. Even idyllic Ald-Amura has want, misunderstanding, and rage.

The Monster Care Squad’s Culinary Division seeks to understand this hunger and address it in all its forms, whether it be nutritional, social, or supernatural rot caused by the odious False Gold. They test their hearts and their cooking mastery in the crucible of the world, transforming the future with their wondrous fare. They face dangers incomprehensible to most, drawing on the sizzle of a hot pan, the flash of a blade, and the wisdom of their peers.

They will solve the riddle of Monster Delicious. And this is their story.

This game is a beneficiary of the Ald-Amuran Historical Society grant.  It is a work in progress. The current version was submitted to the Ald-Amura Historical Society Jam, but it will grow to match my ambitions. The Ashcan Edition includes:

• 36 wild, wonderful, and/or weird ingredients
• 18 pieces of signature equipment
• 5 new character Moves
• 2 culinary traditions
• 1 new Monster
• A revised slew of general Moves for the Plan, Cook, and Serve phases
• Assorted hacks, tweaks, and clarifications for using the Monster Care Squad rules for telling stories about adventure chefs feeding Monsters and confronting culinary Rivals.
• General advice for running TTRPGs about fantastic food

In its final form, Monster Delicious will be a stand-alone game. As it is, you will probably need a copy of Monster Care Squad to fill in some of the gaps. Or fill in the blanks on your own, for a real old-school experience.
